Would you like to:
• Add a balanced investment to your retirement assets? • Receive lifetime income? • Make a significant
charitable gift to Elderhostel? • Benefit from a large charitable
income tax deduction? • Provide for lifetime income to relatives
age 55 or older?
You can do this with a gift of $5,000 or more to the Elderhostel Pooled Income
Fund. This Fund is a trust fund into which donors’ contributions
are pooled together and invested. Each donor’s gift is added to
the investment pool, and the income beneficiaries receive quarterly
distributions of their proportionate share of the income earned. The
Elderhostel Pooled Income Fund is invested to produce a balance of income
and growth of assets. The annual income will be variable and has the
potential to grow. Currently, the average annualized rate of return
for the Fund is 3.36%.
By making a gift to the Fund, you can:
• benefit from a large charitable income tax deduction in the
year of your gift,
• provide for lifetime income to one or two beneficiaries, and
• have the satisfaction of knowing you have made a significant gift
that will strengthen Elderhostel.
Please use our Planned
Giving Calculator to calculate the income
and tax benefits to which you may be entitled if you make a gift to
the Elderhostel Pooled Income Fund.
