Dr. Meena Bose

Elderhostel has engaged Dr. Meena Bose, the Chair of the Peter S.
Kalikow Center for the Study of the American Presidency at Hofstra
University (host of a McCain-Obama 2008 presidential debate), to prepare
the curriculum for this six-session series. Dr. Bose will be moderating the
live presidential debate on Mount Rushmore that will be presented via
webcast to your retirement community.
A graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Bose teaches courses on the
American presidency, American foreign policy and American politics. She
taught for six years at the United States Military Academy at West Point,
where she also served as Director of American Politics in 2006. Dr. Bose
previously taught at Hofstra University from 1996-2000. She represented the
American Political Science Association on the Department of State’s
Historical Advisory Committee from 2001-2004.
Dr. Bose is the author of The National Security Decision Making of
Eisenhower and Kennedy (1998) and has co-edited several other books on
the American presidency.
