| We are pleased to announce the winner
of our first Elderhostel Quarterly
Photo Contest: Maisie Partridge. The theme of this contest
was Landmarks of Discovery, and Maisie won for her photograph
of Eilean Donan Castle taken on program #3169, Land,
Sea and Skye: Scottish Highlands and Islands. For taking
first prize, Maisie won a $100 Elderhostel program voucher and
a special gift.
Second and third place winners, Larry Adkins and Richard Jackson
both won a special gift for their photos.

“For 18 days we traveled though the highlands and islands
of Scotland, and this photo sums up what we saw; from prehistoric
standing stones and the remains of Viking settlements to modern
Scotch distilleries.”
“It’s very difficult to pick one highlight, but
the final dinner at the House of Aigas, where we were treated
to the traditional piping into dinner by a kilted Highlander,
was certainly one of them.”
