If you accept credit cards for registration or other fees, can you answer
the following questions?
1. How much did it cost to get started (i.e., office equipment, etc.)?
2. How much does it cost per use? In other words, do we include this in
our registration fees?
3. How has this benefited your ILR from a membership and organizational
perspective? Thanks.

I don't think there's any benefit except that credit cards are just a preference
for some people. Our equipment is provided by Lourdes College of which Eldervision
is an integral part. Sorry but I don't have a breakdown of the start-up
cost and other fees. I enter all registrations for classes & field trips
in the computer indicating whether they've paid by check or CC. Another
person (full time Lourdes College employee) does my deposits whether by
check or CC so I don't have to worry about it. The system works very smoothly
here.

We accept credit cards for membership payments, but the machine has been
in our department a long time so I don't know the startup costs either.
The only drawback is that the credit card company charges a fee for each
charge we process. We offer it as a convenience to our membership, so that's
our rationale.
