15th ANNIVERSARY CONGRATULATIONS
Learning in Retirement at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is celebrating
its’ 15th anniversary. The membership has grown from 95 to 730 members,
the largest group in Wisconsin. The program has expanded from 10 courses
to more than 60 in each of two semesters. Off-campus activities, which
may involve prior classroom studies, include bus trips and foreign travel.
LLI REACHES OUT
Congratulations to the Lifetime Learning Institute of Northern Virginia
in Annandale, which has over the course of this past year, helped eight
different Northern Virginia organizations who feed the poor. Members
have been bringing food donations to their monthly Forum meetings, and
volunteers have been delivering the food on a regular basis to the churches
and agencies. As the needs and numbers of the needy, working poor and
homeless increase, all of the agencies have been very grateful for their
donations. They really make a difference!
