OLLI UMASS RECEIVES ENDOWMENT
Congratulations to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University
of Massachusetts Boston. They have just received a $1 million endowment
from the Bernard Osher Foundation. Not every program that receives an
initial grant from the Foundation goes on to receive the endowment.
So well done, OLLI!
LIRA AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS
The Learning in Retirement Association (LIRA) at the University of Massachusetts,
Lowell recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to two juniors at the University.
One of the awards went to a nursing student and the other to a student
majoring in Electrical Engineering. The Scholarship Committee thanked
all the LIRA members for their generosity in supporting this important
program. Well done, LIRA members!
