10th ANNIVERSARY BIRTHDAY BASH
Next month the Lifetime Learning Institute at Northern Virginia Community
College in Annandale will be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of their
founding. A committee is busy making arrangements for the gala which will
be held at Greenspring Village. Congratulations LLI!
LLI COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Congratulations again go to the Lifetime Learning Institute at Northern
Virginia Community College in Annandale. This time LLI members are reaching
out into their communities. In January they delivered 136 pounds of
food to the Arlington Food Assistance Center. In February members donated
much needed supplies to the Ecumenical Communities Helping Others program.
An ongoing civic program, LLI members are encouraged to let the program
know if they have a favored agency they would like to have helped.
CHRISTMAS GIVING
Congratulations to the Institute for Mature Learning at Drury University
in Missouri. At their annual Christmas part they were able to present
a check for $1,000 to the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies.
The Scholarship Committee will work with Drury to award scholarships
to the recipients. Well done, IML!
