Independent Study programs (such as the City Highlights series)are weeklong
explorations of the history, culture, and contemporary life of a designated
European city. Background lectures, escorted field trips, and self-guided
excursions offer a focused introduction to exploring some of the greatest
cities of the world.
Detailed preparatory materials set the stage. In all, there are six lectures
by experts in their fields, two escorted field trips, and outlines for four
self-guided excursions. The balance of time is free for participants to
pursue their own interests at their own pace.
Independent Study Programs Include:
