Elderhostel encourages any doctoral student in these fields, whose
dissertation research involves lifelong or later-life learning,
to apply for this unique scholarship.
The Elderhostel K. Patricia Cross Doctoral Research Grant winner
will be determined by a selection committee made up of Peter J.
Whitehouse M.D.-Ph.D., Professor of Neurology, Cognitive Science
and Organizational Behavior, Case Western Reserve University and
founder of The Intergenerational School; Joseph Coughlin, Founding
Director of the AgeLab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
P. David Pearson, Dean of the Graduate School of Education at the
University of California, Berkeley and Mike Zoob, Senior Advisor
to the President of Elderhostel.
