Seafarers can get their own unique perspective on Irish history
with a 12-night Adventure Afloat in August. Sailing Ireland’s
southern coast and cruising secluded inlets and peaceful harbors,
participants will learn the principles of sailing, navigation and
steering, with County Cork’s breathtaking coastal and mountain
landscapes as the backdrop.
Tales of leprechauns and fairies have entertained people of all
ages for centuries. “Folklore & Traditions of Rural Ireland,”
a 14-night adventure beginning in late September, offers a unique
look at Irish folklore and how it continues to affect Irish communities
to this day. Elderhostel is collaborating with educational and cultural
institutions in Ireland to offer these once-in-a-lifetime travel
opportunities at an exceptional value.
