This workshop looked at LLI activities that are welcome to the campus community. Participants learned how to support campus activities, to interface with undergraduates and to offer assistance to the general community.

• Theater always gets top awards among other area theaters. This is important!
• Now building $45 million Cultural Arts Center – I.M. Pei – East Building National Gallery of Art –   Pyramids Louvre in Paris – Glass enclosed 1700 seat concert hall – 500, 300 & 100 seat theaters   colonade. There is a lot of growing to do.

• Gardens & tree tours – Golden Raintree, bright yellow cascading blossoms that turn into decorative papery pods resembling Chinese lanterns

• Invited Virginia’s Poet Laureate, George Garret, to do a Master Class for undergraduates and LLIS poets with lunch and lecture
